Who is cultureshockpanda?

Recently graduated with my Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of California, Davis, I have now returned to my hometown to become a faculty member of a private university in Jakarta. I brought along my husband, who is crazy enough to switch career and move to another country which language he’s still learning from scratch. If dealing with (reverse) culture shock is not enough of a challenge, we are also living with my parents!

My favorite thing to do when I’m bored or simply want a break from work is to search “panda” on Google Image and see how far I have to scroll down before a picture of red panda shows up. I love cooking and trying various dishes from around the world. My heart melts for cute animals but not for children. I am generally an introvert, and am slowly getting better at hiding it as my job demands plenty of interactions with humans.
